Picnic for one

Hey, remember the last time you went hiking and thought to yourself, “darn I wish I brought a sandwich, and some salad, maybe some juice too”? We’re relegated to only carrying nothing more than a protein bar and water. Now if you had the picnic-for-one, you could bring a whole meal as a little snack or reward to enjoy the view atop the summit.

This picnic set is designed for the extreme sportsmen and adventurers who still want a bit of decent dining when scaling the highest peaks and traversing the deepest caverns. Made from lightweight durable materials, each separate element serves its purpose, be it a plate, cup, spice castor, or cutlery. They all ingenuously fit together inside a waterproof and skin-able cylinder for real portability. No Prices or availability known yet.

Rubik's Cube For The Blind

This is an award-winning design: a Rubik's cube for the blind designed by Zhiliang Chen. He says "By taking use of the very basic attributions of different materials common in everybody's life, we can redesign most of the traditional toys and games available for the blind as well." As someone with a close relative who is visually impaired, I like to see designers think outside the box, or the cube.

Trail-Gator Child Bike Tow Bar

Take Junior biking too...

The
Trail-Gator Bicycle Tow Bar converts an ordinary child's bike into a safe, towable trailer bike, whenever desired. To ride attached, simply unclip the tow bar from the stored position on the adult bike, extend it, and connect it to the receiver, which is mounted on the child's bike. When the child's bike is connected, the front wheel is lifted off the ground and a stabilizing bar prevents the handlebars from turning, leaving the adult in control of steering. Children can choose to coast or pedal while they are being towed, making the ride much easier for them.

The BBQ that thinks it's a briefcase!

The ‘Carry and Go’ BBQ is one briefcase your bloke will look forward to lugging around this summer…

Priced at a mere £25, the portable flame-griller comes in a carry bag with a shoulder strap so it’ll be a breeze for him to whisk off to his top BBQ spot.

Zip open the briefcase to reveal pressed metal innards that fold out into a barbi with a decent enough cooking area. Sure, he won’t be able to sizzle sausages for his entire football team at once, but then again he won’t have put out his back getting the thing there.

Solar Powered Tent Houses

Are you into camping in the wilderness? I love camping and being near to nature whenever I can but the weather has been quite unpredictable lately with showers of heavy rain. However, let’s talk about this solar powered tent house. Camping can be quite a dark experience because once the sun sets, you’ll have nothing to light you by but your campfire and tent light…but wouldn’t it be nice if you could have a tent that is solar powered and lights up by itself?

That’d be super cool I think.

The tent costs $230 and has an 8 hour battery power to it. That’s good enough to get you through the night chatting wiht your loved ones until the light goes out :) All you need to do is make sure your solar panels are set out during the day. However, if it’s rainy then …. you might want to bring a torchlight, just in case!

Primo Cappuccino - Lamborghini’s Limited-Edition Coffeemaker

The Tonino Lamborghini coffee machine is limited to just 1,000 handbuilt machines. It is a caffeine-lovers symphony in Beluga black, featuring numerous stainless-steel parts, including a front panel that carries the automaker’s iconic bull logo.

Lamborghini apparently even roasts their own coffee beans, so one can see the fun one might have making up Murcielago mudslides, Espada espressos, and so on.

For you? 895 pounds (or around $1750 USD). In other words, most of us can fuggeddaboudit… but perhaps we can splurge on a pound of beans.
